41-year-old Woman Injured in Crash on Grand Avenue and Mission Bay Drive [San Diego, CA]

1 Hurt in San Diego Auto Accident on Grand Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 5, 2020) – Monday night, a 41-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a crash on Grand Avenue.
 
The incident occurred just before 10:40 p.m. on Grand Avenue, west of Mission Bay Drive, said San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.
 
According to reports, a 24-year-old woman drove a 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV east in the left lane of Grand Avenue. At the same time, a 41-year-old woman was trying to walk across the street southbound.
 
When the pedestrian stepped off the raised center median, the SUV hit her.
 
Responders transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of a pelvic fracture and other serious injuries. However, the authorities clarified that the injuries were non-life-threatening.
