Two Hospitalized in Vehicle Crash on US 101

 
Mason County, WA (November 9, 2020) – On Friday, a 40-year-old Olympia man and his 47-year-old passenger were injured in a vehicle crash on US 101.
 
The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. when the driver and his passenger from Centralia were traveling south where US 101 meets state Route 3.
 
Washington State Patrol said the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Then, he drove off the road and down a 30-foot embankment.
 
Finally hitting several trees before he stopped.
 
The driver still managed to call 911 and ask for help.
 
Rescuers immediately arrived and took both of the victims to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.
