1 Dead in Sacramento Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 29, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, a driver died in a multi-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard.
 
The North Sacramento Area California Highway Patrol revealed that a big rig failed to slow down. Then, it crashed into stopped traffic on southbound 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard.
 
The authorities confirmed that the big rig crashed with a maroon Chevrolet van, white Kia, and white Ram pickup truck.
 
Furthermore, the crash left multiple individuals with major injuries. The CHP said that responders transported the patients to area hospitals. However, the Kia driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
According to the officers, the big rig driver has been cooperative with the investigation. Moreover, they don’t believe that intoxication played a role in the accident.
