1 Dead in Long Beach Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

 
LONG BEACH, CA (September 27, 2020) – Saturday morning, a driver died in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Technology Place.
 
Officers responded to the scene at around 12:15 a.m. Medical responders transported a 40-year-old driver of the truck to an area hospital. However, the Long Beach driver succumbed to his injuries.
 
According to reports, a speeding driver traveled west on Pacific Coast Highway in a 2013 Ram 1500 pickup truck. Then, the vehicle rear-ended the tractor-trailer that had stopped at a red light.
 
The tractor-trailer was beginning to accelerate through a green light west of Technology Place when the crash occurred.
 
As of this time, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether distracted or impaired driving played a role.
