4 Hurt in Modesto Multi-Vehicle Accident on Oakdale Road

 
MODESTO, CA (July 30, 2020) – Early Tuesday afternoon, four women suffered injuries in a three-car crash on Oakdale Road.
 
The authorities received reports of the crash around 1:40 p.m. on Oakdale Road and Claratina Avenue in northeast Modesto.
 
According to reports, a semi-truck traveled north on Oakdale Road. However, an eastbound driver on Claratina Avenue turning left onto the road didn’t stop at a stop sign.
 
Police Department spokeswoman Sharon Bear revealed that a stop sign for Claratina Road drivers was activated.
 
Afterward, the semi broadsided the red sedan. The force of the crash pushed the truck into a second vehicle, a Nissan Altima.
 
Bear revealed that each vehicle had an adult female driver and an adult female passenger. At this time, the identities of the involved parties remain unavailable.
 
The Nissan occupants sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. Meanwhile, the red sedan driver sustained major injuries. Her passenger sustained moderate to major injuries.
 
Furthermore, the truck driver, an adult male, didn’t suffer any injuries.
 
According to the CHP, they administered detours in the area of the crash.
 
Meanwhile, a Modesto Fire Department battalion chief’s incident summary revealed that one patient was stuck inside her car. Furthermore, crews used hydraulic extrication tools to free the trapped patient.
 
Additionally, Bear said that alcohol and drugs were ruled out as factors in the crash.
