4 Dead in Wells Car Crash on Highway 93
WELLS, NV (February 21, 2020) – Four people succumbed to their injuries in a head-on car crash on Highway 93 on February 8.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a driver trying to pass in a no-passing zone on a two-lane highway south of Wells caused the deadly crash.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a silver 2019 Subaru Impreza with Oregon plates traveled north on Highway 93.
Shortly before noon, it reportedly crossed the double yellow, no-passing line.
The Subaru then crashed head-on with a southbound silver 2019 Hyundai Sonata with Idaho plates around 25 miles south of Wells.
Both the drivers and lone passenger in each vehicle died at the scene. Their identities remain unreleased as of this time.
The authorities later shut down the highway in both directions for multiple hours. The crash also remains under investigation.
We are sending our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the relatives and friends of the people who died in the head-on car crash.
