4 Killed in Rainier Avenue North Vehicle Crash [Renton, WA]

Renton, WA (Aug. 7, 2023) – On Saturday, four people were killed and another was injured following a Rainier Avenue North vehicle crash.

The fatal traffic accident unfolded at about 1:15 a.m., in the 400 block area.

Responding officers located a 2004 Toyota Camry that was split in half and several people who were riding the car had been ejected. The authorities said the front of the car was on fire.

The authorities declared four people dead at the scene and the medical team transported a critically injured person to Harborview.

Police stated that the car was speeding southbound in the 500 block of Rainier Avenue North when the driver lost control and the vehicle slid sideways down the road. 

The vehicle then slammed into a large tree causing the car to split in half and catch fire.
