Three People Arrested after Solo Vehicle Crash on Northwest Centre Drive in Lake Worth

Lake Worth, TX (February 16, 2023) – Wednesday evening, three men – 28-year-old Eric Conde, 18-year-old Xavier Lopez, and a 16-year-old – and a 13-year-old girl sustained injuries in a crash on Northwest Center Drive.

The crash happened on February 15 near Strawn Lane.

Lake Worth Police said officers attempted to establish a traffic stop for an equipment violation before starting the chase. When the car didn’t stop, a brief car chase started.

Moreover, the pursuit lasted nearly 60 seconds, and the vehicle struck a curb in the 2900 block of Northwest Centre Drive. 

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to overturn in a nearby field, and three occupants of the vehicle were ejected.

All four occupants were transferred to local hospitals by MedStar Mobile Healthcare.

As of Thursday afternoon, the 13-year-old girl was in critical condition, Conde and Lopez remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition, and the 16-year-old male had been treated and released.

All three men will be facing charges, including the possibility of a sexual assault on the 13-year-old girl.

Furthermore, Conde was wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity out of Tarrant County, and Lopez was wanted for assault causing bodily injury (family violence) out of Austin County.
