MADERA COUNTY, CA (November 29, 2020) – On Saturday, four people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in Madera County, California.

According to spokesman Gregorio Rodriguez, the first crash involving nine vehicles happened along Highway 99 near Avenue 16.

Moreover, the accident slowed traffic on the southbound lanes of the highway the entire afternoon.

Reports revealed that a second crash involved another three vehicles.

Indeed, that one occurred at around 1:00 p.m., on Highway 99 and Avenue 20.

The second incident was caused by a driver that was unaware of the first crash.

It appears he did not notice the traffic backup it caused.

As a result, the driver failed to stop due to fast driving and road condition.

Consequently, responders rushed two people with injuries to Community Regional Medical Center. They took them via helicopter.

More so, one of the injured sustained broken bones, while the other complained of the abdominal, chest, and pelvic area pains, CHP said.
