Injuries Reported in Issaquah Auto Accident on Highlands Drive and Discovery Drive
ISSAQUAH, WA (November 2, 2022) – Monday night, four teenagers suffered injuries in a speeding crash on Highlands Drive and Discovery Drive.
The incident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on Highlands Drive Northeast and Discovery Drive.
According to reports, an 18-year-old driver traveled at a high speed along with another vehicle. Officers confirmed that a 2008 Infinity G35 and a Mercedes traveled at a high speed. Then, the Infinity driver failed to yield at a red light and struck a third vehicle turning onto Discovery Drive.
Initially, racing was considered a factor in the crash. However, the investigators eventually claimed that they were only sure that speed was a factor.
As a result, two teenagers were ejected upon impact. Both of them failed to wear their seatbelts.
Officers confirmed that the innocent driver suffered no injuries in the crash. Meanwhile, the authorities are still looking for the Mercedes driver who fled the scene.
Furthermore, they confirmed that the driver faces several felonies.
