SR-90 Multi-Vehicle Collision Results in Injuries
Sierra Vista, AZ (March 9, 2023) – On March 8, four people sustained injuries following a stolen vehicle crash at the Border Patrol checkpoint.
The traffic incident happened at about 9 a.m. on State Route 90, north of Sierra Vista.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a suspect in a stolen vehicle crashed into a line of vehicles that were stopped at the checkpoint.
Apparently, the suspect driver was being pursued by a DPS trooper who spotted the speeding vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier in a carjacking.
