Injuries Reported in West Covina Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway and Holt Avenue

 
WEST COVINA, CA (January 2, 2022) – Friday, four people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway and Holt Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at 11:41 p.m. on westbound 10 Freeway, east of Holt Avenue.
 
According to reports, a 25-year-old man driving a 2020 Kia Optima rear-ended a 2007 Ford Expedition. As a result, the SUV lost control and hit the center divider wall.
 
Afterward, the Optima veered into traffic lanes and hit a 2022 Toyota Highlander.
 
The crash injured the Optima driver from Palmdale and his two occupants, a 26-old-man and a 26-year-old woman from Chicago. All of them sustained major injuries and responders took them to Pomona Valley Hospital Regional Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, a male Highlander passenger sustained major injures and went to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center.
 
Also, responders took the 36-year-old female SUV driver to County/USC Medical Center because of complaints of pain. Meanwhile, her male passenger sustained minor abrasions to his chest.
 
Moreover, another Highlander occupant went to County/USC Medical Center with abrasions to his chest. The Expedition occupants sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed the charges the Optima driver might be facing.
 
The CHP’s Baldwin Park office encouraged anyone with information about the crash to call them at 626-338-1164.
