4 Injured in Nuevo Multi-Vehicle Accident on Bridge Street and Gilman Springs Road

NUEVO, CA (September 10, 2024) – Monday afternoon, four people died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Bridge Street and Gilman Springs Road.

The incident happened at around 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge Street and Gilman Springs Road.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident involved three vehicles, including vehicles that erupted into flames after the crash.

The Riverside County Fire Department confirmed that four victims died in the fire. Paramedics transported four people to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley with minor to serious injuries.

Firefighters, including a Cal Fire aircraft, deployed to the scene to extinguish a fire that spread to the surrounding vegetation.

As a result of the crash, authorities closed the intersection and spanned Alessandro Boulevard to the north and Highway 79 to the south.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
