FRESNO, CA (March 3, 2022) – Wednesday morning, four people died in a truck crash on Interstate 5 near Derrick Avenue.
 
According to Sgt. Jimmy Beeson, the incident happened at around 9:30 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound Interstate 5 near Derrick Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that a minivan rear-ended a parked 18-wheeler. Then, the force of the crash left the front part of the minivan stuck to the 18-wheeler. Meanwhile, the rest of the vehicle was thrown a few yards from the scene.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced four people dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed three people to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, officials blocked lanes of the scene to give way to the investigation.
 
Meanwhile, authorities asked everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
