Driver Dead in Grant County Solo-Vehicle Crash
Grant County, WA (April 26, 2025) – 39-year-old Tawni Jahns of Richland was injured in a SR 28 fatal crash early Friday morning.
It was around 3:30 a.m. when 33-year-old Don “Chris” Terrell of Moses Lake lost control his pickup truck. The vehicle drove off the roadway and rolled four times.
The authorities said Terrell was speeding and had run a stop sign before losing control of his vehicle. The accident report stated he was not wearing a seatbelt during the collision and was thrown from the pickup while it was rolling.
Sadly, Terrell was declared deceased at the scene, while his passenger, Tawni Jahns, sustained injuries and was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office Motor Traffic Unit is still investigating the cause of this fatal collision.
