39-Year-Old Driver Airlifted in Vehicle Crash in Klondike [Miami, MO]

Miami, MO (March 6, 2025) – Two women were injured following a vehicle crash in Klondike Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on March 4 on Highway NN, south of Miami.

Responding officers said a 57-year-old Sweet Springs man driving a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on the freeway drifted across the centerline.

Afterward, the Chevrolet struck a 2001 Honda Civic driven by a 39-year-old Miami, Missouri, woman, head-on.

Immediately, the Miami woman was flown to University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Similarly, the Sweet Springs man was also rushed to the University by ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

MSHP said the Sweet Springs man was not wearing a seatbelt during the collision.
