Man Sustained Fatal Injuries in Sacramento Spinout Accident
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 26, 2018) — A 35-year-old man died in a crash on the Capital City Freeway just north of Arden Way on Friday, November 23.
According to California Highway Patrol, at around 12:24 a.m. the man from Sacramento was traveling in a silver Nissan 350Z northbound on the Capital City Freeway when he lost control of his vehicle, spun off the road and collided into a metal guardrail. The car came to a stop facing the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
A few minutes later, a 45-year-old man traveling in a black Ford F-150 crashed with the 350Z, killing the man inside the vehicle. The driver of the truck was not harmed.
The road was wet from heavy rain during the accident.
Authorities are determining if drugs and alcohol are factors in the collision, but no arrests have been made, the CHP said.
The crash is still under investigation. Any person with information about the incident is asked to call the North Sacramento Area CHP office.
