Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Metrolink Train between East Ontario and Downtown Pomona Stations
ONTARIO, CA (October 23, 2018) – A man was killed early Tuesday morning following a train accident near East Ontario station. The identity of the 34-year-old victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 5:15 AM near Downton Pomona station. A Metrolink train was on its way to Los Angeles when it struck a pedestrian.
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the train operator remained and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
