1 Dead in San Bernardino Multi-Vehicle Accident on West Base Line Street near D Street

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 28, 2023) – Saturday morning, a horrific 3-vehicle road rage crash on West Base Line Street killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 10:45 a.m. in the 350 block of West Base Line Street near D Street.

According to reports, a Dodge Ram truck and a BMW coupe both traveled east on Base Line Street.

Then, the Dodge attempted to drive past the BMW but failed. Then, it clipped the BMW on the side.

As a result, the Dodge crashed with an oncoming minivan which sent both vehicles to crash to a fence and into the front yard of a residential area.

Then, responders transported the minivan driver to the hospital where they succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, a passenger in the minivan was listed in critical condition.

After the crash, the truck driver escaped the crash scene on foot. Meanwhile, the BMW driver suffered no injuries and has been cooperative with the police.

Moreover, officers are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
