3 Hurt in Oakhurst Car Accident
OAKHURST, CA (March 26, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries in a single-vehicle car crash that stalled traffic for an hour on Highway 41 on March 23.
The CHP received reports of an overturned white sedan around 1:43 p.m. According to the reports, the vehicle blocked the southbound lane about 1/2-mile north of the Cedar Valley Drive turnoff.
Upon the first responders’ arrival, they located an overturned Lexus RX 350 with three people inside.
An adult male, adult female Korean, together with their adult son, occupied the vehicle.
Sierra Ambulance personnel extricated and evaluated the three patients. Furthermore, the three Koreans sustained injuries. A ground ambulance eventually brought them to a Valley hospital.
The evidence found at the area revealed that the vehicle drove off the right side of the wet road. The car then went up a steep embankment before rolling over.
As a result, authorities put a one-lane traffic control in the area for almost one hour.
The collision remains under investigation.
