3 People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on South Western Avenue [Los Angeles, CA]

Sunday afternoon, three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on South Western Avenue.

According to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened at around 1:07 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the 5100 block of South Western Avenue in the Vermont Square community of South Los Angeles.

Reports revealed that the crash involved multiple vehicles. Also, the crash sparked a vegetation fire at a vacant lot in the area.

Furthermore, officials confirmed that a man and a woman in their 20s sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Meanwhile, a police officer declined to be transported to a hospital after sustaining a minor laceration in the crash.
