3 Hospitalized in Sparks Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 80 and Vista Boulevard
SPARKS, NV (February 21, 2021) – Saturday morning, three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 and Vista Boulevard.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the incident involved 17 vehicles. Moreover, it occurred on westbound Interstate 80 about a quarter of a mile east of Vista Boulevard.
Reports revealed that paramedics transported three people with minor injuries for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers closed westbound Interstate 80 from 6:23 a.m. to 7:47 a.m., to give way to the investigation. Also, the eastbound lane was briefly closed while responders attended to the crash.
Furthermore, authorities believe that alcohol or drugs played no role in the crash. However, icy conditions and speeding may have been a factor.
