3 Minors Injured in DUI Collision on Alki Avenue [Seattle, WA]

Suspected DUI Car Crash on 1500 Block on Alki Avenue Injures 3 Kids

 
SEATTLE, WA (April 1, 2020) – Early Sunday afternoon, three minors were injured in a DUI collision on Alki Avenue.
 
Officers first received reports around 12:15 p.m. First responders arrived to the area on the 1500 block of Alki Avenue, shortly after.
 
According to reports, a 26-year old male driver was heading north in a Honda Civic with his four passengers when he eventually struck a parked car. Due to the impact, the Honda then flipped and landed on its roof.
 
Witnesses immediately helped the victims escape the vehicle. Later, police and medics responded and took over the scene.
 
The involved man together with 3 kids and a woman were all transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
 
The man was later assessed and showed signs of impairment. Police also found out evidence of drug use by both adults.
 
Afterward, police received a warrant for blood samples from the driver. He was transported to King County Jail to undergo a DUI investigation.
