TUCSON, AZ (November 25, 2024) – Saturday night, a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Highway 80 near Tombstone killed 3.

The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on Highway 80 near Tombstone.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the crash involved an SUV and three motorcycles. Three people have been confirmed dead, and one individual was airlifted to Tucson with serious injuries.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office advised that Highway 80 north of the crash site was closed, with traffic rerouted to Highway 82 at the 80/82 junction. Drivers were warned to expect delays and detours.

The crash remains under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and motorists were asked to avoid the area until further notice.

By 4:00 a.m., the highway has reopened.
