Car Crashes into Tree on Highway 24 in Orinda Killing 3 Men
ORINDA, CA (December 7, 2019) – Three people were killed following a car accident early Saturday morning in Orinda.
The fatal crash happened around 3:07 a.m. on Highway 24, just east of Camino Pablo.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red 2009 Nissan Versa carrying three men veered to the right and went completely off the highway. It then crashed into a hillside and struck a tree head-on.
All three men were still inside the car when emergency crews arrived. They were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the men were only identified as a 31-year-old Oakland man and a 22-year-old Hayward man. The driver has yet to be identified.
It is still unknown if alcohol or drugs have played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
