3 Dead in San Bernardino Multi-Vehicle Accident on 215 Freeway and University Parkway

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 16, 2024) – Saturday night, 3 women died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on 215 Freeway and University Parkway.

The incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. on the northbound lanes of 215 Freeway, south of University Parkway.

The California Highway Patrol reported that a 2018 Toyota Corolla was traveling north when it drifted onto the shoulder and struck a stationary 2020 Freightliner Cascadia. The impact caused the Corolla to swerve across all lanes to the left, colliding with a northbound 2018 Acura MDX.

Following this, the disabled Corolla was struck by a 2024 Ram 3500, which was also heading north. Tragically, all three women inside the Corolla died at the scene, though their identities have not yet been released.

Drivers of the other vehicles involved sustained minor injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Officer Ivan Sandoval at the San Bernardino CHP Office at (909) 383-4247.
