Fatal Head-On Crash on State Route 85 in Gila Bend

 
Gila Bend, AZ (September 28, 2020) – Friday morning, three people died in a fiery head-on crash on State Route 85.
 
The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on September 25.
 
According to reports, a semi-truck hit a minivan head-on. The minivan caught fire after the collision which killed the three passengers on the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the semi-truck driver escapesd before the fire started but sustained minor injuries.
 
Police closed the State Route 85 in both directions at milepost five south of Gila Bend during the investigation.
 
No names have been released. Further investigation is ongoing.
