3 Dead in Tucson Auto Accident on Ajo Highway and Old Ajo Way

TUCSON, AZ (October 12, 2025) – Late Saturday, a devastating 2-vehicle crash on Ajo Highway and Old Ajo Way killed 3 people.

The incident involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of Ajo Highway and Old Ajo Way, on the outskirts of Drexel Heights.

According to Drexel Heights Fire, three of the six people involved in the crash were killed, while the three survivors were taken to a nearby trauma center. One survivor is in critical condition.

Eastbound Ajo Highway remains closed, with no estimated time for reopening.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area as the investigation continues.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
