3 Hospitalized after Reno Multi-Car Crash on Pyramid Highway
RENO, NV (July 8, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries in a multi-car crash on Pyramid Highway on July 4.
NHP is still searching for a Chevy truck last seen heading south away from the hit-and-run collision.
At about 11:00 p.m., a southbound silver BMW on Pyramid Highway near Winnemucca Ranch Road lost control while driving across into opposite lane. As a result, a Dodge pickup t-boned the BMW.
A third pickup truck, a black Chevy with a Raiders sticker hit the BMW and then fled the scene driving southbound on the roadway.
The BMW driver sustained a broken collarbone and the passenger sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the Dodge driver sustained a broken leg.
Responders transported the three injured people to the hospital.
It’s still unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
Troopers are searching for the Black Chevy, and urging anyone who has any information or witnessed the crash to contact Trooper Eby at 775-687-9600.
