Injuries Reported in Chehalis Traffic Crash on Interstate 5 near Milepost 79

CHEHALIS, WA (February 17, 2025) – Friday night, an alarming auto accident on Interstate 5 near Milepost 79.

Reports said that the incident happened on northbound Interstate 5, north of Chehalis.

Around 9:40 p.m., a 36-year-old woman from Moses Lake stopped her car in the left lane of the freeway near milepost 79.

A 41-year-old man from Chehalis, driving north with three passengers, crashed into her vehicle.

The impact sent the Moses Lake woman’s car into the right-side guardrail before it came to rest in a ditch. The Chehalis man’s vehicle remained in the left lane.

The Moses Lake woman, now facing a vehicular assault charge, sustained injuries along with two passengers from the other vehicle, ages 37 and 18.

All three were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for treatment.
