KINGS COUNTY, CA (June 16, 2022) – Tuesday night, three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near Highway 41.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 11:10 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Interstate 5 near Highway 41.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound Audi made an unsafe turn, lost control, and collided with a big rig trailer. Then, the big rig crashed down an embankment and into a ravine after the incident. Afterward, the Audi driver pulled over, got out of his car, and look down the ravine to see the big rig. Then, a box truck struck the Audi driver then fled the scene.
 
Moreover, responders rushed the big rig driver and the Audi driver to a hospital via helicopter, both with major injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics also transported a passenger of the big rig to a hospital with minor injuries. Also, the box truck driver is now wanted for hit-and-run.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
