3 Injured in Big Rig Crash on State Route 512 [Pierce County, WA]

Pierce County, WA (September 26, 2024) – Three people have been injured following a big rig crash on State Route 512 past Sunday midnight.

It was about 1:20 a.m. when the rollover crash happened near Pacific Avenue.

Troopers said three people were westbound when their vehicle crashed into a big rig and rolled.

The people who were riding the vehicle, a man and woman from Lakewood in their 30s and an unidentified driver, were all transported to Tacoma General Hospital. Officers said they were not wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

The 37-year-old man who was driving the big rig was not injured. 

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
