3 Injured in ATV Solo DUI Crash on Sonoma Raceway Property [Sonoma, CA]

Michael Baker Arrested after ATV Solo Crash on Sonoma Raceway Property 

Sonoma, CA (July 22, 2022) – Thursday night, three people sustained injuries in an all-terrain vehicle DUI crash on Sonoma Raceway property.

Subsequently, police arrested the driver, 48-year-old Michael Baker on suspicion of felony DUI.

The ATV crash in Sonoma happened at around 11:30 p.m. on July 21.

CHP said a 2021 Can-Am Defender ATV was on a private dirt road traveling at speeds of 25 to 30 mph when the vehicle hit an embankment and overturned on its left side.

As a result, Baker and his one passenger, a 35-year-old male from Henderson, Nevada, sustained major injuries. EMS then transported them to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

Moreover, one passenger a 40-year-old man from Avondale, Arizona, also sustained minor injuries. 

Investigators said alcohol was a primary factor in the crash.

Further investigation is ongoing.
