SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 12, 2021) – Sunday night, three people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on southbound Interstate 280.
 
The crash happened at about 5:05 p.m. on southbound Interstate 280.
 
According to reports, a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. The impact led the car that rear-ended the second car to overturn, California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Andrews said.
 
Afterward, the occupants of the overturned vehicle exited the car and fled on foot. Then, another vehicle picked them up to escape the scene.
 
Meanwhile, responders took two children and one adult to a trauma center. The three of them were the occupants of the second vehicle.
 
On the other hand, the CHP officers confirmed that the injuries were minor.
 
Also, the crash shut down three lanes of Interstate 280 southbound for around thirty minutes. Also, the closure was between the San Jose Avenue on-ramp and the Ocean Avenue off-ramp.
 
The authorities continue to look for the hit-and-run suspect.
