3 Hospitalized after DUI Collision on Ashe Road [Bakersfield, CA]

Unidentified Victims Injured in Bakersfield Auto Accident near Ellis Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 18, 2020) – Saturday evening, three people were hospitalized after a DUI Collision on Ashe Road.
 
Officers received reports of the crash around 7:45 p.m., on Ashe Road and Ellis Avenue. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
 
A pickup-truck attempted to turn left onto Ashe Road from Ellis Avenue. A northbound sedan then collided with truck in the Southwest Bakersfield intersection.
 
Medical responders transported both drivers and a passenger to hospitals for further treatment of moderate injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
 
Authorities later discovered that both drivers were under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred.
 
At this time, the collision remains under active investigation.
