Collision on Locust Avenue at Eucalyptus Street Results to Injuries

 
HESPERIA, CA (August 16, 2019) — A collision on Locust Avenue at Eucalyptus Street sent three people to hospitals Wednesday afternoon.
 
The incident involved a white 2006 Dodge Ram and a Toyota minivan. As a result, the two vehicles collided at the intersection around 5:38 p.m.
 
The San Bernardino County Firefighters freed two occupants of the Dodge using heavy tools.
 
The firefighters also requested a helicopter to land in a field at Eucalyptus Street and Eleventh Avenue. After that, the helicopter subsequently airlifted one injured party to a trauma center.
 
A ground ambulance took a male occupant of the Dodge to a local hospital. He sustained less serious injuries. However, medics also transported a young child to a hospital as a precaution.
 
A 4-way stop sign controls the intersection of Locust Avenue and Eucalyptus Street. The posted speed limit is 40 mph.
 
In addition, the Hesperia Sheriff Department handled the investigation.
