3 Hurt in Costa Mesa Multi-Vehicle Crash on 19th Street

 
COSTA MESA, CA (January 8, 2020) – Three drivers sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on 19th Street on January 6.
 
The three-car crash happened right in front of the Costa Mesa Department of Motor Vehicles. The collision between a compact car, a pickup truck and an SUV occurred just after 12:30 p.m. at 19th Street and Meyer Place.
 
The SUV overturned, trapping the driver inside. Responders extricated the trapped motorist from the wreckage, Costa Mesa Fire Department Capt. Joseph Noceti revealed. The Costa Mesa firefighters then transported the driver to a nearby trauma center. Meanwhile, they also took another patient to a hospital in unknown condition.
 
It’s still unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
