3 Children Hurt in Suisun City Pedestrian Accident on Pintail Drive
SUISUN CITY, CA (October 20, 2020) – On Monday, a pedestrian crash injured three children on Pintail Drive and Sunset Avenue in Suisun City.
According to authorities, a vehicle struck the three children while walking in a crosswalk at around 5:15 p.m.
Firefighters and medics both came to the scene. Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and told the police that the blaze of the sun made it hard for him to see. As a result, he failed to see the children trying to cross the road.
Responders and medics transported the three children into a hospital after they suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the police closed southbound Sunset Avenue and eastbound Pintail Drive for almost 30 minutes to give way to investigations.
When behind the wheel, it is important to always be on the lookout for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists. By obeying traffic laws and being cautious of your surroundings, you can prevent unforeseen accidents and keep yourself and others safe on the road.
