29-Year-Old Esparto Woman Dies in Highway 16 DUI Crash [Yolo County, CA]

Yolo County DUI Crash Kills Female Passenger

 
Yolo County, CA (June 05, 2021) – On Friday, a 29-year-old female passenger from Esparto died in in Highway 16 DUI crash.
 
the fatal crash took place after 1 a.m. near County Road 94B between Woodland and Esparto.
 
Apparently, an eastbound 2005 Toyota Corolla swerved into the westbound lane and traveled the wrong way on the dirt shoulder.
 
Afterwards, it collided head-on into a culvert and pole which made the vehicle to overturn.
 
Unfortunately, the female passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle.
 
Rescuers immediately rushed her to the Kaiser Vacaville Medical Center where she died.
 
Moreover, the authorities arrested the driver at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs,. They took him to Kaiser Vacaville for treatment of moderate injuries.
