1 Dead in Henderson Pedestrian Crash on Boulder Highway and Major Avenue
HENDERSON, NV (January 4, 2021) – Saturday night, a 27-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Boulder Highway and Major Avenue.
The City of Henderson Police and Fire came to the scene at about 7:00 p.m. It happened on southbound Boulder Highway at Major Avenue.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2020 silver Volkswagen Golf traveled south on Boulder Highway. Then, it hit a pedestrian.
As a result, the 27-year-old female pedestrian was taken to Henderson Hospital. Unfortunately, she later died of her injuries.
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
As of this time, the authorities do not believe that impairment and speed played a role in the crash,
Furthermore, the incident shut down the southbound Boulder Highway for an hour and a half during the investigation.
Also, the Clark County Coroner’s Office hasn’t released the identity of the victim due to pending family notification.
This incident marks the first accident-related fatality for 2021.
