27-Year-Old California Driver Killed in Vehicle Crash on San Ysidro Port of Entry

 
San Diego, CA (December 25, 2020) – On Tuesday, a 27-year-old male driver from Santa Ana California died in a tragic vehicle crash at San Ysidro Port of Entry.
 
The fatal accident happened after 2:00 p.m. local time after crashing into a metal barrier as he tried to cross the United States in a locked lane.
 
Also before hitting the barrier, the driver struck a 70-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman who was in a wheelchair. They are salespeople on the Mexican side of the harbor.
 
Authorities said the cause of the crash remains unidentified and an investigation is underway. Though, witnesses said the driver drove at a fast speed before the tragic crash.
