1 Dead in Chino Pedestrian Accident on Pine Avenue

 
CHINO, CA (October 2, 2020) – Thursday morning, a 26-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash on Pine Avenue in Chino.
 
The incident happened just before 3:59 a.m. in the 8300 block of Pine Avenue. According to reports, a car struck a pedestrian. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found an unresponsive man down in the road.
 
Chino Police Sgt. Jesus Jacquez said that they declared the man dead at the scene. However, his identity and city of residence haven’t been disclosed.
 
Meanwhile, the 70-year-old driver of the vehicle, a Jurupa Valley resident, stayed at the scene and has been cooperative.
 
“It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a part in the collision,” the sergeant said.
 
As a result of the crash, the road between Hellman Avenue and West Preserve Loop remained close for several hours.
