People Injured in Van Nuys Fatal Head-On Collision
Van Nuys, CA (July 17, 2023) – On Sunday, a 21-year-old woman died and other people including an 11-year-old girl were hurt in a Saticoy Street DUI collision.
The fatal head-on collision took place at about 3 a.m. near 405 Freeway.
Police said a man believed to be driving under the influence was westbound when it swerved into eastbound lanes and collided with another car before striking a power pole.
A 21-year-old woman in the second vehicle was declared dead at the scene while four other people including the 11-year-old girl were injured in the accident.
Responding officers detained the male driver on suspicion of DUI.
After the traffic collision, wires were reported to be down in the area. In the meantime, officers are still investigating.
