2-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized in Pedestrian Accident on North Dutton Avenue [Santa Rosa, CA]

Child Hit By Car on North Dutton Avenue and Decker Street

Santa Rosa, CA (January 23, 2021) On Wednesday, a 2-year-old girl was hurt in a pedestrian accident on North Dutton Avenue and Decker Street.

Authorities say that the incident happened at about 4 p.m. as the child’s mother picked her up from daycare.

Moreover, Santa Rosa Police says they found the child suffering from a head injury, but she was conscious and breathing.

Furthermore, paramedics took the girl to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and later transported her to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland for additional treatment.

Police say her condition is now better and she is recovering.

Meanwhile, authorities say the incident happened when the girl pulled away from her mom and ran towards the street in between two parked cars.

Police say speed and/or impairment were not a factor in the crash. The driver did not receive any citations or charges.
