Catastrophic 2-Vehicle Crash on Road 12 Injures People [Royal City, WA]

Royal City, WA (May 17, 2023) On Friday afternoon, a 2-vehicle crash on Road 12, left several people with injuries.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), the SUV-pickup collision happened at about 3:30 p.m. near Dodson Road South.

Reports say that a westbound SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a pickup southbound pickup truck. The pickup collided with the SUV’s front and rear passenger doors.

Moreover, the truck’s momentum kept pushing the SUV, causing the to roll over and fall into an embankment.

Officials say that the SUV driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, the right passenger suffered serious injuries and was transported via medical helicopter to a Tri-Cities hospital. Medics transported the driver and another passenger to a Moses Lake hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are investigating the SUV-pickup collision and have not released additional information at this time.
