1 Person Hospitalized After Crash in the 7500 block of the Southwest Freeway in Houston

Houston, TX (November 24, 2023) – On Thursday evening, 2 people were hurt, including an officer, after a crash in the 7500 block of the Southwest Freeway.

The Houston Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Beechnut.

The officer’s vehicle, responding to a call with its lights on, was hit as it entered the intersection after checking the intersection heading northbound, according to HPD. 

The officer complained of leg pain, but did not require hospitalization. 

Simultaneously, the driver in the other vehicle complained of chest pains and was promptly transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
