Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-435 in Platte County
Platte County, MO (May 04, 2025) – Injuries were reported in a brutal 2-vehicle collision on Interstate 435 Friday evening.
According to authorities, the frightening collision happened on southbound I-435 near Route C around 6 p.m.
Reports say that the two-vehicle crash in Platte County injured four people Friday evening.
Authorities say that a 42-year-old man from Dearborn lost control of a 2024 Kia Telluride while changing lanes. The SUV slid off the interstate, struck a wall, then re-entered the road and hit a 2012 Ford F-350 driven by a 39-year-old man from Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Emergency crews transported the Kia driver to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries. A 22-year-old woman from the Ford truck also went to Liberty Hospital with minor injuries. Two additional passengers from the truck, ages 42 and 19, were taken to North Kansas City Hospital, also with minor injuries.
All individuals were wearing seatbelts. The Telluride was totaled, while the pickup sustained minor damage. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
