Why Traffic Accidents Involving Pedestrians Have Skyrocketed

As the public moves to spend their limited time outside, traveling by foot is becoming more appealing to the public. Taking walks has been the people’s way of spending time outside. Not surprisingly, pedestrian accidents continue to become more likely, especially during this time.

However, just like any type of accident, we can practice safe habits in order to lessen the chances of road accidents. A common cause of this incidents include speeding. Roadways are becoming clearer these days, and a lot of drivers tend to disobey posted speed limits.

For drivers, follow the speed limit and never use your phone while driving. Most especially, do not drive under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to avoid regretful consequences that could affect those on the road.

For pedestrians, always walk on the designated sidewalks. Stay alert, and practice looking left-right-left before crossing a street.
