2 Transported in 101 Freeway Vehicle Crash [Los Angeles, CA]

(April 22, 2025) – 2 people were rushed to the hospital after the 101 Freeway vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the shocking incident happened around 5:30 p.m. near the Fourth Street overpass at the 101 Freeway.

Reports say that a police pursuit ended in a two-vehicle collision that sent two people to the hospital. The LAPD began chasing a suspect around 4 p.m. in the 3600 block of East Olympic Boulevard.

The suspect, wanted in connection with a shooting and assault with a deadly weapon, drove through the area until crashing into another vehicle near the Fourth Street overpass at the 101 Freeway around 5:30 p.m.

Authorities took the suspect into custody shortly after the crash. The collision injured two bystanders, who were transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. No police vehicles were involved in the crash.
