Fatal Crash Between SUV and Dirt Bike in Summerlin Killed 2 Teens
Las Vegas, NV (June 15, 2020)– 2 teens were killed in a crash involving an SUV and a dirt bike in Summerlin on Friday night.
The incident occurred on June 12 near Pavilion Center Drive and Regal Mesa Avenue.
According to the report, a 68-year-old man driving a 2015 Land Rover was making a left turn. When suddenly, a speeding dirt bike occurred and collided with the SUV hitting its passenger side.
The 2 teens who were riding the Honda CRF 450R dirt bike were killed from the crash. One of them was 18 years old and another was 14 years old. The police said, only one of them was wearing a helmet.
Furthermore, the police believed that the teens who were riding the motorcycle were brothers.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained at the scene and is not expected to face charges.
Dispatchers have been receiving reports involving dirt bikes in the same area over the last few weeks. Moreover, this particular incident was the valley’s 41st and 42nd reported fatalities in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
